About Mimi Stevens-Torp
Born in beautiful Santa Monica and raised in Brentwood and Santa Monica, Mimi Stevens-Torp is a second generation, native Southern Californian. Having attended local schools, Mimi has experienced the Westside’s incredible growth first hand which affords her invaluable insights and an unparalleled comprehensive overview of Westside properties.
After graduating college, Mimi worked in accounting at the J. Paul Getty Museum and later as a business manager for an interior design magazine in Los Angeles. After assisting family members downsize from larger homes Mimi fell in love with the process of selling and buying homes so much she obtained her real estate license and joined Jon Douglas company in 1987.
When a heartbreaking diagnosis of infertility threatened Mimi’s dream of becoming a mother she did not accept the inevitable outcome. For 6 years she championed her inner strength and determination to overcome her greatest challenge. Mimi reflects on those years as a pivotal time in her life, and uses what she learned to help her clients achieve their goals.
She is renowned for her compassion, personalized service and professionalism. In consideration of her integrity and consistently excellent sales production, Mimi has earned numerous real estate awards and accolades. She’s proud to be highly regarded by both clients and colleagues.
Her past clients have been so impressed and pleased with her poised proficiency that the majority of her business is a direct result of referrals and industry word-of-mouth.
Mimi and her partner/husband Jon, were a consistently TOP PRODUCING TEAM at Coldwell Banker, Gibson International and are now pleased to be part of the Compass team.
Mimi and Jon raised their daughter Emily in Santa Monica within blocks of where Mimi grew up. Continuing her strong commitment to helping others, Mimi volunteered consistently at her daughter’s schools. She’s also enjoyed working with charities including Friends of Animals, The American Cancer Society, Heal the Bay, Les Amies, The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the American Red Cross, the Humane Society and the Children’s Institute, Inc.
She recently moved from a townhouse in Santa Monica to a single family home in Mar Vista where she resides with Jon, Emily, and adorable Beagle, Rocky.
